Atlanta Brain Injury Attorney

My name is Dan Tuley. I'm one of the attorneys in the firm, basically the founding member of the firm. I've been doing personal injury law since 1986.

The two major areas of law that we practice in are personal injury, wrongful death, Well City veterans' disability claims. Then there's a whole host of other types of injury cases that we handle, everything from very serious traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, wrongful death, to injuries that people sustain in a motor vehicle accident or from falls, and that sort of thing.

We are a small firm. The advantage with a small firm is that you get to know the person that's handling your case, whereas a large firm, sometimes there are so many layers of bureaucracy. With us, the person that you start your claim with is the person that you will end your claim with, all the way through the process. We get to know our clients very well and we consider our clients our friends.

Typically, insurance companies have a goal to get a release signed by the injured party so they can close that file. The insurance company's adjuster and that client do not have the same goal. The client ultimately wants the case closed, but the client wants his case closed in a just manner.

The insurance industry that we've had cases with know us well. We want to get our cases settled as quickly and as efficiently for our clients as possible. What we have found is that most people do not want to go in the courthouse. They do not want their case to go into litigation. It takes a lot longer, but at the same time, the insurance industry has to know that you will take them to court. Our firm has a reputation within the industry that we will take them to court. We probably have about a third of our cases right now in litigation, which is probably higher than most firms, but it's because our clients ultimately make the decision whether their case gets settled or whether it goes to court. If the insurance company is fair, the case gets settled. If they're not fair, it goes to court.
